eight of your pregnancy your baby’s cells multiply rapidly and they begin to perform specific functions. This process of specialization is called differentiation. It’s necessary to produce all the different cells that make up a human being. As a result of differentiation, your baby’s main external features also will begin to take shape. No longer just a mass of cells, your baby - now officially called an embryo - is starting to take on a distinct form. Being 5 weeks pregnant, your pregnancy test does not always show two cherished lines, because the level of pregnancy hormones in the blood is still very low. But you can notice a lot of other symptoms: http://motherhow.com/5-weeks-pregnant/

Hi mommies! I just found out that I am pregnant. I used 2 pregnancy tests just to make sure and the result is positive. This is my second pregnancy and its been 8 years since my first one. I visited my OB earlier this day and had an ultrasound. According to my result, I am 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I got confused coz the first day of my last period was Nov.23,2015 and based on my calculation, I am 6 weeks pregnant by now but the Ultrasound machine detected that it was just 5 weeks. According to my doctor, there's no baby and heart beat yet. But there is already a gestational sac but the embryo is not yet there. I was really worried when I heard what the doctor just told me. Its different from my first pregnancy.. Is it really possible that there's no baby yet by 5 weeks? thanks in advance!

Hello week 5! I have to say... week 4 was the longest week EVER! I thought the second pregnancy was supposed to fly by with one at home already :). I think about it every second! I had some pelvic pain last week for a day which freaked me out but I am fine now. I didnt have any morning sickness with my 1st so I'm hoping to follow that same path! I keep wanting to tell people but we are going to hold off until we hear the heartbeat. My first appointment is September 17th!!
